City of Heroes
City of Heroes is a series of comics based on the computer game of the same name which came out in 2004, followed in 2005 by City of Villains. The game enables you to create and play as a whole bunch of heroes and villains in a 3D world.
The comics were created in conjunction with the game and so feature characters from the game. They were published respectively by Dark Horse Comics (1 issue), Blue King Studios (12 issues) and Image/Top Cow Comics (20 issues) as can be seen on by clicking on the covers/links below.
There have been a couple of comics produced since the Image/Top Cow final issue, but they're not really in the same league. They're available to read online or download at cityofheroes.com along with the official comics seen below.
