Powermark
Powermark is a cool comic created by Steve Benintendi, mainly aimed at the younger generation of comic readers (specifically from ages 8 to 14 according to the powermark website) although not exclusively reserved to them! It's great fun, even for adults, has nice art and colours, and is obviously inspired by a desire to present the Bible and faith in God in an interesting way.
The story centers around PowerMark, also known as Captain Mark Chen, a solider who was invited to lead an Alpha force unit in the ongoing battle against Leviathan, a malicious organisation led by the Diviner who's aims are to eradicate individual thought and expression. After being wounded during a Leviathan attack, he was asked byt the International Christian Coalition to help create Virtual Reality Episodes to teach the Bible. He uses a whole range of cool sci-fi type equipment and is helped by an internatioal group of youngsters who are exploring the Christian faith at the same time.
The comic has two series of 12 episodes, both of which are excellent ways to discover the Bible, and a third series called the "Seeker Series" is particulalry interesting for presenting the basic teachings of the Bible concerning humanity, sin, Jesus's sacrifice and resurrection, forgiveness, etc. You can find our more about the world of PowerMark at www.powermarkcomics.com and the comics are available to read online at wwww.wowio.com/powermark.
